Our Story

Helping every student show up with confidence to the moments that matter most.

I’m Brooke, a high school freshman with a mission inspired by my mom. Growing up in a small town, my mom missed her own prom because she couldn’t afford a dress. Despite all her success later in life, that missed milestone stayed with her. When I saw how much it meant to her that I felt amazing at my first dance, I realized that every student deserves a chance to celebrate without worrying about the price tag.

I created The Dress Your Part Project to make sure no one has to sit out a high school memory just because they don’t have the means to go. I believe that your background shouldn’t decide whether you get to sparkle at prom, homecoming or other high school milestones. It’s about more than just a dress; it’s about feeling like you belong and showing up as your best self. Our nonprofit brings free, mobile formalwear boutiques directly to students in rural communities. By removing the barriers of cost and distance, we give every student - students like my mom - the opportunity to look great and feel even better making memories. We’re here to help students  own their moment and create memories that will last a lifetime.
